Purple flowers, lavender, lilac, blackberry, with coffee and cocoa. This medium bodied wine has a non-fruit character: earth, graphite, licorice and toasty smoky oak. Black fruits, raspberry and blueberries with red current and pomegranate. Really well-structured great balance between tannin and acidity. It’s like Merlot and Pinot Noir had a baby: Mourvèdre. Great food wine! Thinking dark berry salad, pulled pork smoky ribs, chill it down and it will be great. The acidity will complement the oiliness of any BBQ sauce. Drink now or age for two to seven years.
